Always popular and highly anticipated are the silent and live auctions that are held in conjunction with the golf tournament dinner.

In addition to the auctions, this year we have a very exciting Raffle Item: a one week stay at Villa Tatutina, in the Bahamas. This villa will house 6 couples very easily. Beginning March 15th LDC committee members will be selling raffle tickets for $5.00 a piece or 10 tickets for $40.00. The drawing will be held April 26, 2010, day of tournament.

The silent auction is set-up adjacent to the dinning area where attendees can view a unique and varied display of valuable items that are up for bid. Bidders can track the bidding by reviewing the sign-up sheets next to the item being offered. At a designated and published time, bid sheets will be pulled, followed by an announcement of the highest bid winners for each item. Examples of items that were offered in the 2009 silent auction include:

Autographed Football, Baseballs and Jerseys Diamondback and Suns Tickets Dinner and Show Prescription glasses Drawings and Paintings Assorted Gift Baskets

The live auction is where things really get exciting. Presided over by a professional auctioneer, the live auction always features a spirited and competitive display of charitable bidding.

2010 live auction items include:

1. Seven night Alaskan Cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. Four night stay at the Plaza Hotel in New York with continental breakfast. There are other properties within the system that will be available if whoever gets this prize does not want the Plaza. The value of this prize is almost $3,000.00.
